The Montessori method was developed by the Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori (1870-1952). Maria observed children and analysed how they learn. She concluded that every child, regardless of age, sex, race, religion or handicap, wants to learn. Also, that the learning process takes place using all the senses at once. Our specially trained teachers prepare an environment of educational materials, toys, games and exercises based on these principles.

Under the direction of, and with the assistance of the teacher, the child decides what, where, how, with whom and for how long to do something. This gives the child the opportunity to act independently and to concentrate without interruption, (polarisation of attention). The goal is to provide learning methods and processes that support the child striving toward independence.

The material developed by Maria Montessori supports the child to develop independent learning and unfolds their individual abilities and talents.
