Welcome to the Parkside School.
Parkside School has campuses in both Thalwil and Oberrieden and offers childcare for children between the ages of 3 months and school entrance.
Pre-school und Kindergarten (ages 3-6 years)
In Thalwil we operate a bilingual (german/english) pre-school and kindergarten for children aged 3 years to school entrance. We follow the curriculum of the Canton Zurich which means a certain amount of lessons are being held in high german. In addition, we offer a broad spectrum of group work, projects, single play, free play, sports, walks in the forest, early music education, and excursions. We follow the Montessori philosophy that encourages each child to act self confident and independently. Every child is being supported in an optimal way. Minimum attendance is two full days per week; children can fulfill the Swiss mandatory kindergarten requirement by attending Parkside School three full days per week. Although your children are entitled to 13 weeks holidays per year, we are only closed 4 weeks. This means, it is upon your discretion to choose which other 9 weeks (if at all) you want to take your holidays.
Parkside Daycare Oberrieden (ages 3 months to 6 years)
In addition, in Oberrieden, we operate a daycare for children aged three months to school entrance. The children are placed in two groups, one Baby group and one group for the older ones. During the bringing and picking up times the groups are together.
English Reading and Writing Classes in Oberrieden
Also in Oberrieden, we offer english classes for children ages 4-7.
